I'm kind of an old timer. For the past 15 years I worked for Health Management Associates, Inc. and was the manager of programming for the past 10 years. I come from old school programming (i.e. Assembler, COBOL, RPG, FORTRAN, and BASIC, etc.) on midrange and mainframe systems. The Internet has opened the doors to Java in the form of J2EE and all the other brews and flavors. I discovered RoR just last year and am really experiencing a newfound pleasure for programming.

Prior to coming to Florida in 1993, I managed programming for RYKO manufacturing, a small company in Iowa, for 7 years. I can't seem to shake this "manager" job title.

For the 10 years before RYKO, I worked as a traveling road musician (keyboards and guitar) and somehow worked in a computer science degree. As a matter of fact, I finished my MBA in technology management through the University of Phoenix Online, in 2008.

I am now CIO/President of Intelligent Assets International, LLC.
