Should have stayed with my first career choice way back...well I'm not gonna tell you what year but the 'Giant of Redmond' was probably still depending on his older brother to get him beer. We pushed a funny telephone into cups and typed code which was run on the mainframe downtown. That was the first computer class in my high school when I was a sophomore. Hindsight is always 20/15. Instead I joined the army and traveled a very changing world. Retiring in 2001; about six months before 9/11, I don't regret a moment. But with the dot-com bust and Clintonomics realized, unemployment was high and I found myself virtually unemployable as the multitude of schools the army sent me to did not translate to civilian careers. So the VA sent me to university to get a BS in CIS. Not having the time to master any one language while in school; I'm out now and decided to hitch my wagon to RoR. I just love the way Ruby rolls.
